Hidden deep in the woods of east Texas, okay maybe 500 yards off McCann Rd in Longview behind maybe a hundred pine trees doesn't qualify, but the first time I tried to find Academy, it took some doing! Who decides where to build these things anyways? It's not a prime location that people see and just decide to stop. If you want something, say a replacement pair of sweat pants, maybe Adidas 3-Stripe Basket Ball pants in Black, then you will look online and find where the store is located. You may even call ahead to make sure they have them in stock. But otherwise, you wouldn't even know it was there. I guess a lot of people wanted stuff from Academy because it was packed! The weather gets sunny and warm and all of a sudden a million people are out and about! I think T-Ball has a lot to do with it. Lots of parents walking out with their kids carrying bats and gloves.... and helmets. Safety first!
