Day Forty-Nine

For my birthday, I got Settlers of Catan. It remained unwrapped in my possession until today. While at Katie's house, her, Matt, Jacob and I played! It was so much fun. There was wrath, thievery, building, jinxing, and much more! I was very excited to see my friend and her cute baby! Aside from the spit up and poop, he is adorable! Once he went to sleep, the adults got to hang out and play 14 hands of Nertz. Even though it was thrilling, it was also mentally exhausting because you had to be watching at least 10 different piles, if not 20.
I am glad I came home and got to see Katie today!

Day Forty-Eight

The temperature of your typical freezer doesn't affect the fridge much. A dorm fridge, however, is much smaller and easily affected by the freezer. When you turn it up high, you get frozen orange juice. Moral of the story, monitor your fridge's temperature and contents. Also, there may have been 3 week old pie in there. Shockingly, no mold. Must have been the cold...

Day Forty-Seven

I am a hero. Not only in my own mind, but also, possibly, in the mind of the person whose life will be saved. I think that donating blood is a very simple way to help people. So far, I have donated 6 times. My lifetime goal is 10 gallons = 80 donations = 240 possible lives saved! I know a woman who has donated that much and I feel like that is a noble thing.
On a left side note, playing basketball the same day is not a stellar idea.
On a right side note, I am also signed up to be on the National Marrow Donation Registry.

Day Forty-Six

I know you are sick of Valentine's Day, so am I. Let's sum this up quickly.
  • Olive Garden is wonderful, even if you don't go on 2/14
  • Chocolate is cheap on 2/15
  • Even on 2/15, it feels good to have your brother floor dote on your floor
Meanwhile, back at the ranch house, the lone ranger has discovered she has no classes tomorrow and feels super excited!

Day Forty-Five

I am a big fan of Valentine's Day chocolate! It's even better when you know why you got it. Like the Single Red Rose, this Chocolate will be gone some day. But the picture/card and boy will be around for a while. Unfortunately, class and flying removed dinner from our options. So tomorrow we will go out.
I also enjoy giving people chocolate. It's fun to be mysterious and leave chocolate at friends' doors.

Day Forty-Four

Tomorrow is a 'holiday'. So decoration, cards, and other things are made. But I am not creative. So my part of help involves baking cookies, and blowing up balloons. Nothing creative about that. Even my signature didn't vary far from "Happy V-Day!" Well here it comes, a day for men to spend too much money on the women in their lives and for all the single people to be reminded they are alone. Who invented this day again?

Day Forty-Three

The Letourneau Student Handbook prohibits un-choreographed dancing on campus. So we went off campus! Tonight 4B held a Dessert and Dance party for Valentine's day at Crossroads. It was fun because neither Jacob or myself having any experience dancing the Waltz, Foxtrot, Chilly Cha Cha (Taught by Chaplain Carl), Rumba, and many others. I think he did a pretty good job with the 2-Step though. My feet hurt really bad and I am wondering how people can enjoy it so much?? Next time maybe pants and comfortable shoes will help it to be a more enjoyable experience.
