Day One-Hundred and Twenty-Five

Rear view mirrors are wonderful! As Mater demonstrates in CARS, it is very helpful to have mirrors when you drive backwards. I probably would have gotten a ticket if security saw. I went the speed limit, I stopped at all the stop signs and I drove in the correct direction on the correct side of the road. My truck may have been facing the wrong direction, but other than that, I don't see the problem. I wanted to travel around the loop and I did so safely.

But we all know what happened to the last guy who posted about his adventures on facebook. Maybe I shouldn't admit this.

Day One-Hundred and Twenty-Four

At 8:00am I took Rio to the train station. Coffee Monster in hand, I started to study for the Lit final. 9:45am I walk-in, sit down, and take the test. At 10:17am I am back in my room, free from finals! Shower then lunch. Not a care in the world. Then, at 12:50pm I see my coworkers and cry out in despair, "I forgot to go to work today!!!" I was forgiven, but I feel so bad. Shockingly, Dr. Compton graded the tests before the end of the day. I needed a 74 to pass with a B and get my 3.397 GPA. My grade on the final? Drum roll please! ...*drum roll* ...... 80 freaking 4! PWNed!

Day One-Hundred and Twenty-Three

Today, when I should have been studying for my Managerial Accounting final, I decided that I had to clean up my room some. I took all of my textbooks, notebooks, folders, and flash cards and weeded out the things I wanted to keep. The rest of it all went into the recycling bin! It felt great to get rid of all of that junk. It gave me closure in a way. But I didn't spend much time studying.
I wasted some time calculating my grade. Turns out, I only needed a 55% to pass the course with an A. I am confident that with a 20 pt. curve, I will have no trouble making that grade! Next Wednesday, final grades will be posted and we will see. My last final, Intro to Lit, is tomorrow morning. If I don't show up, I get a 0, and get a D in the course and my GPA will be 3.293. If I show up and score a 10% or more I can get a C in the course and my GPA will be 3.345. If I study really hard, show up and score above a 74% I get a B in the course and my GPA will be 3.397. There isn't any guarantee I will make above a 74. But because my friend was .002 lower than Summa Cum Laude, I am slightly motivated to do well. At the same time, I am not motivated by grades. I should study but I really, really don't want to.

Day One-Hundred and Twenty-Two

Nothing of real significance happened today. I participated in a study group for possibly the first time of my life. I kinda of lead it, but not exactly. We talked about Dividends and Cash Flows. At 7:30am on May 2nd, we will see if we learned anything in the last few weeks. I only need a 73 on the final to get an A in the course. Haven't below an 88, so I don't think it will be an issue.

Day One-Hundred and Twenty-One

I woke up at 5:45am so I could be at Penncake Breakfast at 6am. I sat there in Penn II lounge studying and eating pancakes and bacon until 8:45am when I realized I needed to go talk to professors. I ran in circles until 11am trying to get signatures, but now I am enrolled in a GAPS Elementary Statistics for this summer. They can cancel my classes, that won't stop me from staying on track! HA!

With two finals down and three to go. Things are looking all right. Nothing on Tuesday, so I will sleep and study.

Happy 29th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Seven Pounds is a depressing movie fyi.

Day One-Hundred and Twenty

How much time can you spend not sleeping? Well I was up until 3:20am Monday morning studying. Why? Because it's finals week! Not to mention the schedule for Sunday night was pretty packed. As you may know, Prayer and Praise is on Sunday nights. It was moved up until 8pm because at 9pm we had Acousticafe. After that, there was midnight breakfast. What an awesome way to start off finals week! Stay up until 12am for Papa John's and Monster! I studied so much and slept so little that I almost forgot how much fun I had on Sunday sleeping in, studying and then going to McAlister's for dinner with South Hall peeps before getting my summer housing assignment!

Fact: The Elementary Statistics course that I signed up for was cancelled on Friday, unbeknownst to me!
