Day Fifty-Six

I've always thought that Taco Bell was creative for putting phrases on their sauce packets. I have seen some funny ones, crazy ones, dumb ones, punny ones, and even inappropriate ones. I like this one because I could use it if I needed. The best one I ever saw though read: "Will You Marry Me?" I liked that one because that is how one of my friends got engaged. True Story.

Day Fifty-Five

As I went a walkin' one day, I said to myself, "Hey!
Since I don't have my keys, there may be mail ... please."
When in I looked, my eyes were hooked.
I couldn't see the back, there was only black.
I ran to my room with my hopes held high,
I ran so fast almost like I could fly.
I looked like a savage as I ripped open my package.
When I found what was inside,
I beamed with great pride.
The needle didn't hurt and I now have a shirt.
To Carter BloodCare I gave, so that a life they could save.

To Compton I will say, Do I like poetry? "Nay!"
I only rhyme to have a good time.
I don't like your class, I'd rather watch growing grass.
The reason I stare is that I don't even care.
Your grading is subjective, I'm sad I chose this elective.

Day Fifty-Four

Sitting watching my boyfriend's floor and my brother floor play the championship intramural basketball game, I was in the company of three lovely ladies. Sitting there we realized that all of us are applying for RA. Speaking of which, I had my interview today. I was super nervous. The minute I sat down my palms started sweating! God's Will will be done, now to prepare myself for whatever happens.
For dinner we went off-campus and ran into my professor. We ate dinner with her and my palms started sweating again. I guess if we hadn't talked about RA they wouldn't have. Haha. No more talk, just prayer that God's Will be done.

Day Fifty-Three

"Let's go fly a kite up to the highest height. Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring. Up through the atmosphere, up where the air is clear. Oh let's go fly a kite!" The weather today was absolutely gorgeous! With a high of 82 and the sun shining, nothing could get me down. Not even 3 quizzes! I like happy weather!

Day Fifty-One

The Library is a wonderful place to sit and study when you have put off your marketing plan for the last five weeks and it is due tomorrow at 9:30am. However, if many other people have done similar things, the population of the library will grow. As this happens, all the prime seating spots in the library will be taken and the number of vacant seats will decrease. This means that you will have to sit next to people. When this occurs, you will be more inclined to engage in communication with them. This lowers the efficiency of studying. Once it gets to the same level as that of studying in your own room, you must decide where you will study. A noticeable trend shows that as the clock approaches 12am, the number of students remaining in the library rapidly decreases. At that point, population in dorms and MSC increase substantially. I will be here until 12am.

Day Fifty

Sunday nights are full of mixed feelings. Dread of the week about to start; Anger over the hours spent not doing homework; Feelings of Nostalgia for all the fun things done that weekend; and Hope that, during Prayer and Praise, Jordan will sing "Praise Adonai."
Prayer and Praise is not something mandated by the school like chapel. P'n'P is a fun time to come together willingly and praise God through singing and to, together, grow closer to God as small groups share prayer requests and spend time praying.
Many people don't attend P'n'P and I feel sorry that they have not experienced it from the beginning. I am so glad that from the that first week at college, my floor has always motivated me to go. It is often the highlight of my week!
