Day Six

I know what you are thinking. "Buffy is such an awful show. I can't believe you watch that!" Well, I would like to defend Buffy the Vampire Slayer. If you think that the show is about vampires, you are wrong. If you think it is a cult show that causes corruption, again, you are wrong. Yes there are vampires and yes there are cult references, but that is not what the show is about.
I started watching Buffy this summer with my friend Cecilia. She asked me to watch just one episode and I was hooked. It isn't for everyone, that is for sure. But I have laughed at Xander's jokes and cried when Jenny died. I have been scared when the world was about to end and felt triumphant when they stopped the bad guy. I feel like these characters are my friends. I mean I have known them for 7 years, from their sophomore year of high school I have seen them grow up, even if it has been less than 8 months. I guess what I am trying to say is this: If you can look past all the ridiculous craziness of this comical and witty show, you will realize that it is about character development and it is a really great show.
Tonight, I finished watching the last three episodes of Buffy. One hundred and forty-four episodes later and I am sad to see it end. Guess I'll just have to "Sire" someone!
