Day One-Hundred and Forty-Nine

After nine long months of waiting, I was reunited tonight with my best friend Emily! She has been in Uganda on a missions trip this whole time. We talked and she told me about Africa while I cleaned up the disaster known as my room. Dad grilled steak and pork chops for dinner and we had green beans because they are Emily's favorite. Since we gave away all of Saturday's brownies, Emily helped make more! She liked the marshmallows! Then she drew a smiley face on my hand with the burned end of a toothpick. It was a good day!

Also, I had an awesome afternoon hanging out with my second family, James and Cecilia! It was great to see them again! A Good day indeed!
