This weekend was almost perfectly timed! I came home for Kevin's party instead of coming home a couple weeks earlier. Last year, I didn't pick up warm clothes when I was home, thinking I could get them at Fall Break. Unfortunately, it was cold before I was able to go back home. This weekend, I got in my truck in Longview and it was 87º. When I got out of my truck in Rhome, it was 57º! So I grabbed my Carhartt to bring back and some other long sleeve shirts. This was perfect weather for my mom to cook potato soup!
My mom is a really good cook! She was super awesome and fried bacon for my soup! I was really spoiled before college because no food can compare to hers. On top of the fact that it's not my mom's food, it is cafeteria food! Eww! I really enjoy going home and having home-cooked food! Did I mention how much I love my moms cooking?! I also really love my mom!
