"Ooh! You know what? I should take before and after pictures of my work and I'll write about it on my blog and show them the change!" *Twenty minutes pass* "This is gonna be great! Just don't hurt your arm and take it one step at a time." *Chairs and coffee table moved into kitchen* "NOOOO!! I was gonna take pictures!" *Heavy sigh* "I've done too much to go back now. Oh well."
After approximately three hours of intense physical labor, the entire room has been rotated 180ยบ. The piano, oddly enough, was not the most difficult object to move. It was the 6ft credenza that was horrible! Even after emptying it of countless VHSes, yearbooks, and photo albums, it probably weighed over 200lbs. Did I mention that after everything else was in place I realized it needed to be moved about a foot to the right? I unloaded everything and moved it...again!
I pulled one wall of furniture out and then proceeded to rotate it like one of those little puzzles we had as kids. The ones where it has 15 pieces and 16 spots so you can only move one at a time. Remember those? That was our living room today. Each time I moved something, I vacuumed the floor before moving the next thing in it's place. While I love my cats, I don't know if I will ever have indoor pets and carpet.
