Day = Daniel
Two-Hundred = Chapter 2
Eleven = Verse 11
In chapter 2 of Daniel, the scriptures talk about King Nebuchadnezzar's Dream. When the king couldn't sleep, he called in magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers to explain the dream to him. He said that if they did not explain the dreams, he would cut them into pieces. They said they would tell him what the dream meant if he would tell the dream. He would not tell them the dream though fearing they would twist it to mean what they wanted. The king wanted them to prove their powers by telling him not just the meaning of the dream but also what it was!
Have you ever been caught in a lie? The sorcerers claimed to be all-knowing, but they weren't. They could have come up with any meaning they wanted for the dream and there would be no way to prove they were lying. But the king knew that they did not know the dream and he caught them off guard when he said they had to tell him the dream. They said no one would be able to tell him what his dream was, so the king decreed that all of the wise men should be killed. When Daniel heard of this, he sought counsel from the Lord. God revealed the dream as well as the meaning to Daniel in a vision as he slept. So he went to the king and told him all that he knew. The king honored Daniel and made him a ruler over all of Babylon.
Take a few minutes and read all of Daniel 2, or at least verses 29-45.
