Day One-Hundred and Forty-Five

I took a shower today. What an adventure that was! First, I had to take off my shirt. I had not tried that in a while and it was difficult. Then I had to tape off my arm and cover it in a trash bag all ghetto style and tape it again to make sure the plaster of paris splint doesn't get wet. Then I got into the shower and found new ways to bathe. Using one hand to open, pour, and hold while closing the shampoo was slightly hard. Next, I placed conditioner on the ledge and used my bum arm to squeeze it into my hand. Body wash I put straight on the sponge. I couldn't really wash my right arm under the circumstances, but I gave it my best shot. Face wash worked like the shampoo. After I dried off and got dressed, my friend called me. She told me the most useful information she learned when she broke her hand. Squeeze the shampoo straight onto your head! Duh! Why didn't I think of that?! Yay for learning new techniques! I encourage you to examine things you do every day and see if you can do them with only one hand. If you can't, thank God that He gave you two fully-functioning hands. I am learning all sorts of things that I take for granted constantly.
