It is expensive to be healthy. I bought bananas, strawberries, grapes, apples, carrots, yogurt, gatorade, and bread today. Guess how much of my mom's money I spent? Thirty freakin' dollars! That's ridiculous! I am not a fan of eating out (it comes out of my pocket) so I got bread for sandwiches. I've been running and need some gatorade in addition to water because I can feel the salt on me afterwards. Yogurt, strawberries, and bananas make a good smoothie which is a great, healthy snack. Grapes, apples, and carrots all go perfectly with a sandwich lunch. Even though I was hungry while shopping I restrained myself from buying Dr. Pepper, beef jerky, prepackaged foods, or frozen unhealthy foods. It helped having Laurie on the phone because she told me how to make a good smoothie.
Look Mom, I'm being healthy! :)
