Day Two-Hundred and Twenty-Eight

Many years ago, there was a monthly event called "Park Day" that local home-school families would attend. I met several people at park days, some I occasionally see around town. They were usually at Renshaw Park, on the west side of town. I don't go there very much anymore for many reasons. But there is an overgrown gravel  path around part of the park that Rebecca and I walked around for a bit before going to lunch. I love talking with her because I realize I'm not the only one. Satan's greatest lie is, "You are the only one who...." fill in the blank. But you have to remind yourself that you aren't alone, in anything! There is always someone with the same thought, problem, idea, whatever it is. Usually, it is someone you know pretty well. I have never been completely alone in something. Even when I raised my fist high and said "Hang all the lanterns!" Christine caught my lame reference. But on a more serious note, me and a friend both struggle with self-image. Another friend and I both have trouble because we are too independent to let a guy open the door. When you are open with someone you trust you can often find encouragement. I won't air my dirty laundry on the internet, but know that you aren't alone in your pain today. If you need to talk, I am here.
