Every year, LeTourneau hosts a health fair in the Solheim Center. Things such as blood tests, hearing tests, physical fitness tests, and more are offered to students and community members for a low price or free. People from different health places also had booths set up and were informing people of what they had to offer.
I don't remember going my freshman year, but last year I went because I was in "Fatness." (Fatness is a name used by many students around the country to reference a course known, more respectfully, as "Concepts of Lifetime Fitness.") I won a $15 gift card to Jason's Deli after spending 15 minutes in between classes at the health fair.
This year, I signed up to volunteer through the school of business. It wouldn't have been so bad except that I was busy from 8:00am until 10:50am and then worked for 2 hours before I could eat! My friend Elizabeth, who is a nursing major, took my blood pressure as part of her role at the health fair. That was probably the highlight of my experience.
Sadly, due to Debates, ABC will not be broadcasting Grey's Anatomy tonight. *Heavy sigh* One more way that politicians annoy me.
